The office was founded by Katsuhiro Arai in 2009, after 14 years of experience at one of the leading and largest IP firms in the nation. The office provides full services related to intellectual property law, especially patent law. Our core values are service and value. We provide close communication with our clients and individualized and customized services based on their needs for their best interest. We often act as if the office is an extended IP division of our client’s company. We are familiar with not only U.S. practice but also Japanese practice, enabling us to provide better services to our clients. We endeavor to provide our clients with excellent value: top quality service with an eye to keeping costs as low as possible.
PRACTICE AREAS
A significant portion of the office’s patent practice is devoted to semiconductor fabrication, communication technologies, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc. We also frequently work with foreign associates and other firms for our clients. The office’s patent procurement services include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting patentability studies, and infringement studies. The prosecution of a patent application requires extensive interaction with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO), especially Patent Examiners, via both written correspondence and interviews.
